We also want to give a big shout out to groups that organized effectively and folks who volunteered many hours knocking on doors and calling voters leading to the victory of Measures 66 & 67 in Oregon. Read about these stories in this edition of our e-newsletter.

Uniting Communities is a groundbreaking new project from Western States Center to support organizations of color in having meaningful conversations about LGBTQ issues and working to take a stand on LGBTQ equality. The Toolkit is a compilation of exercises we developed during our work with community based organizations of color in Oregon over the past few years. It also features 10 case studies from organizations around the country that provide a first hand look at tackling these hard conversations.

But last week Western States Center brought together 12 groups from our VOTE Project and two dozen local activists and donors to celebrate the labor that Oregon groups put in to help pass progressive tax reform Ballot Measures 66 and 67.  Read more...
