Gender Justice Program 2013 Updates

In this special Gender Justice Program issue, we share updates on staffing changes to the program.

We want to share some staff changes at the Center that are both exciting and come with the sadness of goodbyes.

After eight years of serving as the Gender Justice Program and Race Program Director, Kalpana is leaving the Center. I've been fortunate enough to have worked with Kalpana the entire time, and I will miss working with her on a daily basis. Thank you Kalpana for all you've done for the Center. Our work, and our organization, is stronger because of you.

We are delighted that Aimee Santos Lyons, another amazing leader for justice, is stepping up to be the Gender Justice Program Director. We are fortunate to have her leadership and vision to take the Center's work to the next level.

Please enjoy the reflections from Kalpana about her time here. Our second story shares some of Aimee's contributions to the Center and what brought her to this work with us. You can learn more about Aimee here.

Lastly, we are excited to create a new trainer/organizer position at the Center. I encourage you to consider applying or share this with friends and those in your network. The deadline to submit materials is January 30, 2013. The Center is an exciting place to work and we look forward to welcoming a new team member in the near future.

 With gratitude and excitement,
