In this issue: "Families Matter. VOTE!" video series. These videos feature stories of parents who have found their voice, strength and power through the political system. Families Matter and so does your vote.

This week we are proud to release the "Families Matter. VOTE!" video series.

These videos feature stories of parents who have found their voice, strength and power through the political system. These parents are active members of Catalyst for Kids, Got Green and Community to Community, members of our Strong Families Northwest project.

Catalyst for Kids

Yesterday, we released a video about Danielle, a mother who testified in front of Washington state legislators to make Child Protective Services more humane.

Today we release our second video about Violet, a parent who helped save a program that gives low income families access to fresh, healthy food at farmers’ market from budget cuts.

Community to Community

As a Center eNews subscriber, you’ll get to see our last video of the series today before we make it public tomorrow! This video is about Nelida, an immigrant mother who is separated from her husband due to racial profiling and now organizes to stop this practice along the US-Canadian border.

The stories from these groups are moving and powerful. They bring to light that all families matter and that your vote matters. We worked with Poverty Action as they developed the Washington 2012 Voter’s Guide to align progressive values with ballot choices.

Here are several other voter guides developed by partners in our region. We hope you read and share them widely with your communities.

Remember. Families Matter. Vote!
