Inside this issue: 'Unions and the Progressive Movement" is a tool to help start conversations about how our work can be mutually beneficial and Seattle's Poverty Action celebrates their 15th anniversary.

Dear Friend,

This past weekend we celebrated Labor Day to honor workers and their families. During the other 364 days of the year, we see unions holding up the good fight to protect workers' rights. The attack on unions is an attack on progressive infrastructure, this is what inspired us to create Unions and the Progressive Movement: More Than Just Workers' Rights- a tool to help start conversations about how our work can be mutually beneficial.

In solidarity,

NancySig

More Than Just Workers' Rights

Union Tools

Labor unions and progressive politics have long had a close and complex relationship.  Today, in an era of unprecedented attacks on public employee unions and the role they play in electoral organizing, it is more important than ever to understand how and why we can work together.

Unions and the Progressive Movement: More Than Just Workers’ Rights is a curriculum and discussion guide created to start conversations - about how c(3) organizations and unions can build meaningful relationships, about the values both movements share, and about how we can work together to resist the anti-union, anti-worker, and anti-progressive attacks.
