International convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination (ICERD)

In 1965, the ‘global community’ came together under the auspices of the United Nations to draft and adopt the first international law outlining rights that individuals and groups are entitled to as human beings to live free from racial discrimination. The global law is The International Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination or CERD.
