Speaking for Ourselves: Resisting Organized Bigotry at School
As bigoted and anti-democracy groups target schools and curricula, young people have the most at stake. Students are also often among the first to see evidence of hate at school, whether it’s in a comment from a peer, graffiti in the library, or talk about a white pride student group being formed.
Students have the right to a safe and inclusive education. While it’s not their responsibility to counter bigotry, they have a critical voice and the power to organize. This toolkit is addressed to young people and aims to support them in taking safe action and reaching out to adults for support when they encounter white nationalism and other forms of organized hate.
